The 28-year-old Rob Simmons played 101 matches for the QLD Reds from 2008 – 2017, and has also made 78 Test appearances for the Wallabies at second row.
The Waratahs will certainly want to forget everything about last season, as they finished fourth in the Australian conference and only won four out of their 15 matches.
“From what I can pick up everyone is trying to leave last year,” Rob Simmons said.
“Only the memories to know what not to do, they want to dump that and move on.
“They never want that feeling again, and they want to move forward from there.”
Australian rugby in general will want a vast improvement in 2018, as they lost all 26 matches against sides from New Zealand.
It literally can’t get any worse, so optimism and positivity should be guaranteed at all the Australian Super Rugby franchises.
